Terms of Service

1. Agreement to terms

By accessing or using AppMecca ("the Service"), operated by UNOMENA ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service.

2. Description of service

AppMecca is a container hosting platform that enables developers and AI agents to deploy, manage, and scale applications. The Service includes container orchestration, managed databases, HTTPS provisioning, load balancing, monitoring, CLI tools, and API access.

3. Account registration

To use the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Accept responsibility for all activity under your account

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account.

4. Acceptable use

You may use the Service for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Host content that infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Distribute malware, viruses, or other harmful code
  • Conduct cryptocurrency mining without prior written consent
  • Send unsolicited bulk email or messages (spam)
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
  • Use the Service to conduct denial-of-service attacks
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.

5. Your content and data

You retain all rights to your code, data, and content deployed on the Service ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to host, run, and transmit Your Content solely to provide the Service.

You are responsible for maintaining backups of Your Content. While we provide automated database backups as part of the Service, we recommend maintaining independent backups.

You can export or delete Your Content at any time. Upon account termination, we will delete Your Content within 30 days unless otherwise required by law.

6. Pricing and payment

AppMecca is in invite-only early access and no fees are currently charged. The terms in this section apply from the date paid plans begin, and we will give you at least 30 days' notice before that date.

From that date, paid plans are billed monthly in advance, and prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice.

  • All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated
  • Failed payments may result in service suspension after a 7-day grace period
  • You are responsible for any applicable taxes
  • We do not charge per-seat fees — pricing is based on resource usage

7. Free tier

We may offer a free tier with limited resources. Free tier accounts that remain inactive for 90 consecutive days may be suspended. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the free tier at any time with 30 days' notice.

8. Service availability

We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance. AppMecca is in early access and does not offer a contractual uptime commitment yet — our Service Level Agreement page sets out what we do commit to in the meantime, and when a formal SLA will apply.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, code, documentation, and branding, is owned by UNOMENA. Nothing in these terms grants you rights to our intellectual property beyond what is necessary to use the Service.

10. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third-party tools and platforms (GitHub, GitLab, Google for sign-in, Amazon Web Services for infrastructure). We are not responsible for the availability or conduct of third-party services. Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UNOMENA shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless UNOMENA, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these terms.

13. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You may close your account through the Service or by contacting us. Upon termination:

  • Your access to the Service will be revoked
  • Your deployed applications will be shut down
  • Your data will be deleted within 30 days
  • Any outstanding fees remain due

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Cape Town, South Africa.
